The Spokesman of the Opposition Lawmakers Coalition Mr. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere has commended the Acting National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Mr Yayari Mijammed on his decision to hit the ground running to reposition the party.
In a statement in Abuja, the lawmaker said that the decision of the new acting chairman shows his understanding of the urgency to reposition the party for greater electoral fortunes ahead of the 2027 election.
He said it also shows that the National chairman understands the urgent desire of members of the hitherto biggest political part in Africa to sanitise the system, restore internal democracy, restore peace and cohesion in the party.
Mr. Ugochinyere who represents idea North and South in the House of Representatives also said that the decision to hit the ground of the Acting Chairman has rekindled hope among the PDP family .
Reacting to the chairman’s acceptance speech, Mr Ugochinyere said that his group in the house would support the new acting leadership and its resolve to ensure a rapid reform of our party.
