Adamawa State Government Commits to Unlock Potentials in Women

The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri says he is committed to unlocking the potential of the girl-child and also empower women to create a better society for all saying the decision by him and his political party, the People’s Democratic Party to make women Vice Chairperson in all the 21 local government areas of the State was deliberate.

 

He said he is not only committed to carrying the women along but to unlock their prospective talent in developing the State in both urban and rural areas.

 

The Vice Chairperson of Numan Local Government Area, Maimuna Bariki while appreciating Governor Fintiri for the emergence of women as Vice Chairperson in all the local Government Areas was a clear indication of a promising government.

 

She described Fintiri as a promising and project executing Governor who has the interest of the masses at heart and is willing to carry everybody along.
According to her, the Governor’s commitment to create opportunities for inclusion of more women in policy and decision making processes would explore the potential of women in the quest to ensure gender balance.

The Numan Vice Chairperson was optimistic that Adamawa State will experience accelerated socio economic growth.
‘’on my part, I carry the burden of women in my heart, I carry the burden of the children and youths in my heart and I also carry the burden of people living with disability in my heart’’.
the Vice Chairperson said.

 

‘’I see my emergence as the Viceperson of Numan Local Government Area as an opening to unleash this burden by contributing to their development’’. Maimuna added.
