Women Leaders have called for interfaith harmony in Nigeria

They made the call in an event themed: “The power of dialogue: Women uniting for peace and religious freedom in Nigeria,”

Addressing the urgent need for the female gender to wage into interfaith understanding amidst rising extremism, Mrs. Jumoke Fasakin, a Creativity Expert, an entrepreneur and advocate of peace stressed the importance of using the tool of selfless love to all to bring solution to religious rancour amongst people of different faith in Nigeria’s diverse landscape.

According to Felix Samari, the Country Lead and Coordinator of the Live What You Believe Project Nigeria, the Women Leadership Training featured a distinguished panel of female experts from religious institutions and academia.

LWYB is an arm of FoRB in Nigeria which advocates for a society that respects and honors religious diversity.

At the end of the training workshop, women leaders left with a renewed commitment to promoting harmony amongst all people of all faith.

For FoRB, the training is a significant step towards a more level playing ground for all citizens of Nigeria.

The workshop, organized by the Live What You Believe (LWYB) project, saw over 100 Women participants converge to champion Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) advocacy in Nigeria.
