Edo Queens FC celebrated striker Folashade Ijamilusi’s outstanding debut performance with the Super Falcons, where she scored a hat-trick in their 5-1 friendly victory over Algeria at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday. The CAF Women’s Champions League participants enthusiastically followed her impressive display, thrilled by her two quick goals before she secured her third.
The Benin-City club tweeted, “A queen and more! Edo Queens’ sensation, Ijamilusi Folashade, dazzles on her senior debut with two international goals in just eight minutes against Algeria. Ijamilusi later shared how team captain Rasheedat Ajibade’s advice helped her secure her hat-trick, explaining that Ajibade encouraged her to seize opportunities when defenders were focused elsewhere.
Ijamilusi, a former junior international, opened the scoring for Nigeria in the 12th minute, doubling the lead shortly after. Although Algeria missed a penalty opportunity and later scored, Nigeria responded strongly.
