Nasarawa Eggon Chairman Signs Skills Training MOU for Youth

The newly elected Chairman of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nassarawa State, Mr. Iliya Ibn Aliyu, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Wind Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technology Institute to train youth and women on different skills.

Ibn Aliyu made this known during a familiarisation visit to the Executive Director of the Institute, Dr Daniel Ewuga Aisle, in Lafia, the State Capital.

According to the Chairman, his vision is to train youths and women on different skills to enable them become self-reliant.

He seeks support from stakeholders to improve the well-being of people in the area.

Speaking, the Executive Director of the institute, Dr. Daniel Ewuga Asile, said the partnership would go a long way to creating thousands of job opportunities for residents of the area.

Highlights of the event were the official handing over to the local government council Chairman Iliya Ibn Aliyu by the Director of Personnel Management, DPM, Egya Usman Zubairu, and a visit to the palace of Aren Eggon, Ahmad Ubangari Alaku (I), to seek royal blessings.
