National Assembly Service Commission appoints Ogunala as new Clerk

The National Assembly Service Commission has approved the appointment of Mr. Kamoru Ogunlana as the substantive Clerk to the National Assembly.

This followed the commission’s approval of the retirement of Mr Sani Magaji Tambuwal.

The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Ahmed Kadi Amshi, said that the commission approved the appointment of Mr. Ogunlana as clerk to the national assembly with effect from 2nd February; 2025, at its 610th meeting held in Abuja.

The commission explained that the appointment was in recognition of Mr Kamoru’s hard work and administrative competence.

He urged him to work hard to justify the confidence reposed on him.

In a separate letter also signed by the NASC Boss, the commission acknowledged the immense contributions of the outgoing clerk, Mr Tambuwal, to the National Assembly Service.

“As you proceed on your pre-retirement leave, Mr Kamoru Ogunlana will oversee the affairs of the office of the clerk to the national assembly, while working closely with you to ensure smooth transition until he takes over from you as the substantive Clerk to the substantive Clerk to the National Assembly on 02/02/2025”. The letter read in part.

Before his elevation, Mr Kamoru Ogunlana was the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly.
