Osayi Samuel Hits 100 Games At Fenerbahce
Nigeria’s Bright Osayi Samuel has pledged his commitment to Fenerbahce after reaching a milestone 100 appearances for the Turkish Super Lig club in their 4-0 win over Sivasspor on Sunday. The 26-year-old defender joined from QPR in 2021 and has become a key player under coach Jose Mourinho.
Despite a foot injury in October, Osayi Samuel has reclaimed his starting spot. He expressed his pride on social media, writing, “I am honoured and proud to play my 100th match… I am always ready to give my everything.”
Earlier this year, he won over Fenerbahce fans by defending teammates against angry pitch invaders in a heated 3-2 win against Trabzonspor. Now in the final year of his contract, Osayi Samuel is attracting interest from two English Premier League clubs. Fenerbahce is reportedly accelerating contract talks to keep him beyond the 2024/25 season. He has played five games this season, with one assist.
