Kano State Donates 78 Patrol Vehicles To Police

In an effort to enhance security measures in Kano State, located in North West Nigeria, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has presented a total of 78 patrol vehicles to the Kano State Police Command.

This initiative aims to bolster the operational capacity of the police force and improve safety within the region.

Presenting keys to the Kano Police Commissioner CP Salman Dogo at the Government House, Governor Yusuf expressed the commitment of his administration to protect lives and property of the citizens.

He said as a commercial hub of Northern Nigeria, Kano deserves the best approach to modern policing.

“The donation of these 78 patrol motor vehicles to all police divisions in Kano State demonstrates our resolve to ensure safety and a serene business environment in the state.

“I extend my deepest appreciation to other security agencies for their unwavering commitment to security in Kano State. Your collaborative efforts have been invaluable in maintaining peace and stability.”

Receiving the vehicles, CP Salman Dogo explained that the Patrol Vehicles came at a time when commercial activities were fast growing in the State with an increase in population.

This gesture of the State Government will motivate the Command in fulfilment of its Constitutional mandate.”

He commended Governor Yusuf for supporting the police efforts towards maintaining law and order.

These motor vehicles donated will be appropriately used to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the State. 

“The Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Operational Commanders are directed to ensure the effective use of the Patrol Vehicles to provide security and safety within their jurisdictions,” he said.
