Governor Distributes Operational Vehicles to Security Agencies, Others
The Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, has distributed 30 Tractors to Local Government Areas, and 40 Operational vehicles and motorcycles to Security Agencies, State and Federal Ministries, and parties.
Speaking at the ceremony in Lafia, the governor said that the gesture was aimed at enhancing food security and part of the state government’s sustained support to security agencies in strengthening their capacities for better service delivery.
He gives a breakdown of the vehicles including Four Jac Pickups, 10 Toyota Hilux, 10 404 Peugeots, four 308 Peugeots, two 18-seater buses, one 32-seater bus, two Camry, five Sharon, one towing van, and one ambulance.
The governor also distributed 10 power bikes and 15 Bajaj motorcycles to the security agencies to enable them to access the hinterlands and other difficult terrains to combat insecurity in all nooks and crannies of the state.
“Security is one of the topmost priorities of his administration, which is why he has continued to distribute vehicles to the security agencies in addition to other logistics support”.
He noted that since his assumption of office, his administration had distributed 149 vehicles and motorcycles to security agencies and other bodies.
The governor also acknowledged the contributions of the various MDAs to the achievements recorded by his administration since his assumption into office in 2019.
He also distributed 30 tractors as part of the effort to support machinist farming to ensure food security in the state.
Sule further directed that out of the 30 tractors, two each will be given to 13 local governments, while two will be given to traditional rulers and two to private farmers in the state.
