The Lagos State government has called on residents to take responsibility and be more safety-conscious as the end of the year approaches.

The government, through the Director General of the Safety Commission, Mr. Lanre Mojola, said that it is expedient for people to prioritise their safety, health, and livelihood.

Mr. Mojola who emphasised the safety of lives and property, particularly during the last part of the year, mentioned that everyone must relate to the current weather conditions, which come with excessive heat and dryness.

He said, “Once there is life, there is hope for a better tomorrow. We can only hope for the best. The current weather conditions are unfavourable. The excessive heat due to dry weather can lead to tiredness, high fever, blurred vision, and dehydration, which are uncomfortable and harmful to health. By following these guidelines, we can all contribute to a safer and healthier community.”
