The ROSOWA Chairperson, Hajiya Jamila Ibrahim-Dangaskiya, who led members of the association to the facility on Saturday in Katsina, said that the visit was part of activities marking this year’s World Remembrance Day for Road Crash Victims.
The items donated included; detergents, soaps, tissue papers, toilet cleaners and bottle water, among others.
Going round the Accident and Emergency (A&E) and Orthopaedic Wards alongside ROSOWA members, Ibrahim-Dangaskiya symphatised with the victims currently receiving medical attention at the facility.
She called on individuals and groups to join hands with the FRSC in supporting victims of road crashes, observing that some have been in hospitals for long.
Ibrahim-Dangaskiya further called on motorists to always obey traffic rules and regulations while on wheels for their own safety and safety of their passengers.
“Remember that life has no duplicate, avoid reckless driving, speeding, overloading of goods and passengers, these are major contributors to accidents, thereby claiming many lives,” she said.
Receiving the ROSOWA members, the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr Bello Suleiman, represented by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Denis Manuwa, conducted the visitors round the A and E as well as Orthopaedic wards.
He commended the association for the gesture and assured judicious distribution to the patients.
The CMD urged other associations and wealthy individuals to emulate ROSOWA by extending support to accident victims.
