Governor Aiyedatiwa, Deputy Present Certificate Of Return To President Tinubu

The newly re-elected Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his deputy, Olayide Adelami have presented their certificates of return to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, appreciating him for the support and the level playing ground he provided during the State election.

The Governor, who was accompanied by the Chairman of All Progressives Congress Party (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and his Deputy, Olayide Adelami lauded the victory of the APC across the 18 local government areas of the State.

“Coming here today to meet with the president is to express my gratitude to him as the leader of the country and of our party for providing an enabling environment for everyone, a level playing ground, and also as leader of our party, to present my certificate of return to him.”
Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo State for voting en-mass for the ruling party.

He lauded Civil Society Organisations, security agencies media, and all stakeholders for their roles at the November 16th, Ondo State governorship election.

Speaking on his plans for the State, Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his readiness to infuse governance while also impacting all aspects of the society.

“Good governance, of course, and that is what I have to give to the people, good governance for them to have a dividend of democracy touching every sector of the society. And that is exactly what we’re doing. Don’t forget that I’m not just coming in as a fresher, I’m a sitting governor who has been at the Service of the state for the past 10 months, and the people have seen what we have been able to do within 10 months. One of the reasons they came out en-mass to vote for our party.”

The Ondo Governor called on the opposition parties to join his administration in repositioning the state by presenting their ideas.

Speaking on the economy, Governor Aiyedatiwa advised Nigerians to seek multiple means of income to tackle current economic challenges facing the country, an issue identified as a global economic crisis.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC declared Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the November 16th governorship election in the state.
