The Jigawa State Government in North West Nigeria has entered agreement with the AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED, to bolster the State’s Agricultural input supply system.
Signing the MOU in behalf of the state government, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim said, the MoU will enable Jigawa State to leverage AGROEQUIP’s expertise, enhancing it’s efforts to build a more resilient agricultural sector.
Attended by the Honourable Commissoner, Ministry of Agriculture, Muttaqa Namadi and other Government officials, the SSG noted that, the MOU is in conformity with Governor Namadi administration’s efforts, to eradicate poverty, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.
“With this MOU, we are now committed to joining hands with the AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED, to enhance Agricultural productivity in Jigawa State through supply of high quality agricultural inputs”.
The Chief Executive Officer, of AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED, Wale Akinmusire, described the MoU as a historic achievement for the both Jigawa State Government and AGROEQUIP MANUFACTURING AND PROCUREMENT LIMITED.
The CEO explained that the MOU will involve purchase of wheat inputs for the 2024 wheat cropping season to support agricultural development in Jigawa State.
Mr Akinmusire assured that AGROEQUIP will supply agricultural inputs of good quality, free from defects and conform to all applicable standards and specifications.
