Pastor Yohanna Buru, a distinguished recipient of the United Nations International Interfaith Week and Harmony Award, has emphasised the significance of the Kaduna State Economic Empowerment Summit 2024 and the accompanying Policy Launch, describing them as pivotal initiatives designed to empower women across the state.

In his remarks, Pastor Buru lauded Hajiya Rabi Salisu, the Kaduna State Commissioner for the Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, for the successful conclusion of the state’s recent two-day Women’s Summit.

He stated that these efforts will create opportunities in various sectors of creativity and business, ultimately contributing to the reduction of poverty and unemployment among both rural and urban women.

“The summit has already positively impacted thousands of women across all 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, both in rural and urban communities,” Pastor Buru noted in a statement released on Friday, November 6, 2024.
