Governor Idris Prioritizes Security, Commends Predecessor for Developmental Projects

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State in North West Nigeria has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the security of lives and property in the state.

Speaking during a visit to Gwandu and Augie Local Government Areas of the State, Governor Idris urged the people to pray for peace in Kebbi and Nigeria, emphasizing that development can only thrive in a peaceful environment.

The governor noted that the Southern part of the state, which was previously abandoned due to banditry, has now been reclaimed, with farmers returning to their homes and farmlands.
This achievement, he attributed to the collaborative efforts of the government and security agencies.

Governor Idris also commended his predecessor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, now the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, for facilitating developmental projects from the federal government to Kebbi State.

Senator Bagudu in his remarks, lauded the people for their support and cooperation with the present administration.

He emphasized the importance of choosing a successor who can bring positive development to the people, expressing his desire for other states to emulate Kebbi’s developmental strides.

The National Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, praised Governor Idris as one of the party’s top three governors in terms of developmental projects.
He urged APC members to work together to achieve their objectives.
