Lönnström Happy With Lobi Stars Performance vs Plateau United
Lobi Stars head coach, Mika Lönnström has reflected on his team’s solid display in the hard-earned 1-0 win against Plateau United.
Waheed Adebayo scored the winning goal for the Makurdi club in the first half.
The win boosted Lobi Stars chances of escaping relegation.
The Pride of Benue, who previously occupied bottom spot on the log, moved to 15th position with 19 points.
Lönnström expressed confidence in his team’s ability to escape the drop.
“Our players are developing all the time. We have young talents who play with heart and pride for the Lobi Stars badge.
“They also have ambitions to progress, which aligns with our plan and focus,” the Finnish said after the game.
Lobi Stars will face Bendel Insurance in their next game on Sunday.
