The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has hinted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may present the 2025 appropriation bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024.
The Minister disclosed this on Wednesday while fielding questions from reporters at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
Idris also disclosed that the National Assembly and the Executive are currently engaged in discussions which may result in the shift of the budget presentation date.
“The Executive and the National Assembly are currently engaged in discussions which may culminate in the shifting of the budget presentation to the federal lawmakers to Wednesday.”
It would be recalled that President Tinubu last week conveyed to the National Assembly his intentions to present the 2025 budget proposal on Tuesday.
