Stampede: Mrs Tinubu Commiserates With Oyo State Government

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has condoled with Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Oyo State over the unfortunate tragedy that occoccurred in the State on Wednesday, leading to the death of many children.

In a message, the First Lady prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and fast healing for the injured.

She said: “I sympathise with the family friends, and loved ones of the deceased.

“I also pray for speedy recovery and total healing for those who are still in the hospital.

“May the Lord grant peace to Oyo State, comfort to the families who have lost their loved ones and hope to those grieving at this time.

“My heartfelt condolences to all those affected by this devastating incident.”

A stampede had ococcurredt at the venue of a funfair organised for children in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, leading to the unfortunate loss of lives.

The funfair was organized as part of activities marking the yuletide season when the unfortunate incident occurred
