Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has articulated the government’s commitment to constructing roadways that will facilitate trade and enhance commercial activities within the State.
Governor Sani said this in his remarks during the commissioning ceremony of twelve asphaltic roads within the Kaduna metropolis initiated and completed by his administration in Kaduna.
According to him, his administration considers building good-quality roads as critical to improving vehicular movement and giving businesses, especially farming in rural areas an enablement to thrive.
Governor Sani further stated that the new roads will reduce travel time, enhance security, boost trade and commerce, and foster social interaction among our citizens.
He said the completed roads will enhance connectivity and accessibility for residents, farmers, business owners, and other road users in Kaduna and its environs.
“These roads are not just for transportation; they are conduits for economic growth, social interaction, and community development.
“Today’s road commissioning symbolizes the progress we are making together as a community and reflects our collective aspirations for a better tomorrow.
“I therefore urge all stakeholders, community leaders, local government officials, and citizens to take ownership of these roads.
“Let us work together to ensure they are well-maintained and utilized to their fullest potential.”
The roads commissioned are Ja Abdulkadir Road, Bissau Road, Unguwan Muazu township roads, Water Intake Road, and Off Yakubu Gowan Residential Layout roads.
Others are Kawo Layout roads, Off ‘Yan Absakpa Road, State House roads network, Stadium to Station roundabouts; Residential Layout, off Gobarau Road, Residential Layout, Off Kinshasa Road, Sultan-Surame Road and Ohinoyi Road.
Governor Sani disclosed that during his inauguration as Governor, he made a solemn pledge to the good people of Kaduna State that he would spread development to all parts of the state by embarking on comprehensive renewal and regeneration of infrastructure.
He stressed that his administration has been matching words with action, by aggressively pursuing its Rural Transformation Agenda because it holds the key to unlocking the enormous potential of the State in the agricultural and informal sectors, as well as frontally addressing the problems of poverty, unemployment, and insecurity.
Governor Sani added that his administration in the second quarter of 2025, shall commission other roads across the State amongst are which are, a 5.525km asphaltic road from Airport Road to Tudun Biri Community, Kaduna State.
