Nigeria’s governing party, the All Progressives Congress, APC has urged Nigerians to seize the occasion of Christmas to pray for peace, unity and progress in the country.
The National Publicity Secretary, APC, Mr. Felix Morka made this known in a statement.
APC urged Nigerians to extend love and kindness to neighbours and needy citizens during and beyond the season of celebrations.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) rejoices with Nigerians, especially Christians, on the joyous occassion of Christmas.
He further said “Christmas, a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, symbolises the fulfillment of age-old divine prophecy and God’s boundless love for us. Christmas exemplifies compassion, patience, unity, mercy, and wholesome sacrifice, virtues that beckon on us to imbibe as Christian faithful.”
Mr Morka added that Christmas teaches hope and light in the most difficult situations.
