The Kwara State Governor and Chairman Nigeria Governors’ Forum Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has commiserated with his Oyo State counterpart, Governor Seyi Makinde, the people of the state and families of the victims of a recent stampede at a Christmas party which claimed lives.
Calls for investigation of the stampede
Governor Abdulrazaq, who visited the NGF Vice Chairman, Governor Seyi Makinde, at the Government House in Agodi, described the incident as unfortunate and called for the immediate investigation of the stampede to prevent the reoccurrence of such a disheartening incident in the future.
The NGF Chairman prayed to the Almighty Allah to repose the souls of the innocent children who lost their lives amidst the unfortunate stampede and give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.
Governor Abdulrazaq and his colleagues in the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) had earlier commiserated with Governor Seyi Makinde, the families of the victims and the people of Oyo State.
The Forum prayed to Allah to rest the souls of the innocent children who lost their lives.
