2024 Review: NNPP Scores Kano Governor High in Development

The performance of Kano state Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has been commended in the year 2024.

 

Despite economic challenges in yhe country, Governor Yusuf remained focus in addressing the yearnings of the people of Kano state.

 

The Kano State Chairman of New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP Hashimu Dungurawa in an interview with journalists said, Governor Yusuf in 2024, declared state of emergency on Education to address the decay in the sector.

 

To achieve that, the Governor increased the budgetary allocation of education to 31 percent for better success.

 

According to Dungurawa, Governor Yusuf sponsored many on foreign scholarship apart from the payment WAEC and NECO examinations for secondary school students.

 

Speaking on infrastructure the NNPP Chairman said, major roads Constructions and bridges are on going in Kano city apart from the 5 kilometre roads at the local governments levels.

 

He said, “we are lucky to have a GOD fearing governor who has restructure Kano in terms of infrastructures, empowerment and human development.

 

Kano can now compete with any modern city globally, especially with the art of state facilities made available in the metropolitan and the rural areas.

 

Dungurawa explained that more interventions were given women in form of empowerment as well as palliatives during the economic crunch.

 

The Governor gave out monthly empowerment of N50,000 to women and many have benefited from the initiative.”

 

Other interventions of Governor Yusuf in 2024 includes payment of outstanding pension arrears to civil servants.

 

Capture many states

Speaking on the NNPP plans for 2025, Dungurawa expressed the readiness of the party to expand and capture many states in the country.

 

He noted that the party has recorded tremendous successes in the year 2024 and now expanding to poling units leadership for better grassroot galvanization.

 

Things are going very well in the side of NNPP, because when the came onboard we don’t have even a party office even here in Kano, but today I’m telling you with confidence we present in the 36 states of the federation. I doubt if there is anywhere, where we don’t have office.”

 

He expressed optimism that, NNPP would have Victory in the 36 States of the federation and the presidential election come 2027.

 

He debunked rumors that the National Leader of NNPP Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will decamped to the All Progressive Congress, saying it was a mere allegation to tarnish the image of their leader.
