Commissioner Commends Foundation’s Free Medical Outreach In Anambra State

The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike has commended the Nissi Helps Foundation for its impactful free medical outreach in Adazi-Nnukwu, Anaocha Local Government Area.

The outreach, which provided medical care to individuals of all ages, underscores the collaborative spirit of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Public-Private Community Partnership (PPCP) initiative.

Dr. Obidike praised the foundation for its commitment to enhancing healthcare access, highlighting the involvement of skilled healthcare professionals who worked tirelessly to offer quality services to the community.

The Chairman of Nissi Helps Foundation, Chudi Muoka who is a cleric, said; ”the organisation’s core mission is to uplift the less fortunate, with a strong focus on access to quality healthcare for all.”

He emphasised that the foundation’s initiatives are aimed at improving the well-being of underserved populations.

Executive Vice Chairman of Nissi Helps Foundation, Agatha Ijeoma-Muoka elaborated on the foundation’s ongoing commitment to health outreach.

Ijeoma-Muoka noted that the annual medical outreach includes free surgeries, distribution of essential medical supplies, and health education.

We aim to raise awareness about prevalent health issues. Many are unaware of their health conditions, and through this outreach, we also educate the community. This year, we performed five free prostate surgeries, distributed 500 pairs of eyeglasses, and provided free medications to those in need,” she said.

The Regent of Adazi-Nnukwu, Chief Emma Kalu-Ugwumba, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the foundation for its continuous support of the community and reiterated his hope for future collaborative efforts.

President of the Adazi-Nnukwu Town Development Union Women’s Wing, Mrs. Mitchell Onugbolu also attended the event, reinforcing the community’s collective support for the foundation’s noble cause.
