ADUSTECH Expansion: Kano Governor Approves N61m Compensation For Villagers Affected

The Kano State Governor in Northwest Nigeria, Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved N61m in compensation for residents of neighbouring villages affected by the expansion projects at the Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil.

The approval was announced by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, during a meeting with the Chairman of Wudil Local Government Council, Muhammad Tukur, and other Council members.

Yakasai said that the Governor had approved 100 additional hectares for the extension of the Campus along Gaya road and promised commencement of payment as soon as the money enters the coffers of the University.

The Vice Chancellor called for collaborations with the University to develop Wudil Livestock market and initiate a River Festival, even as he approves 200 free forms for Wudil Council for enrollment of residents into part time programmes.

Thairman of Wudil Local Government, Muhammad Tukur pledged to settle all outstanding registration fees of part time students being sponsored by Wudil Council.

He assured the residents of his Council’s resolve to join hands with the University with a view to developing education in the area.
