FCTA Announces ₦8.45m As 2025 Hajj Fare

The Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced the approved Hajj fare for Abuja pilgrims for this year.

The fare is set at Eight Million, Four Hundred and Fifty-Seven Thousand, Six Hundred and Eighty-Five Naira, Fifty-Nine Kobo (₦8,457,685.59)

A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Muhammad Lawal stated that Intending Pilgrims who have made deposits are expected to balance payment before Thursday 30th January, to be part of this year’s religious journey.

Lawal also said that “prospective intending pilgrims can also make full payment before the deadline to book for a seat for the 2025 Hajj exercise.”

He explained that all payment to the board must be via a bank draft as no cash transaction would be entertained.

He stressed that all payments for the Hajj exercise are to be concluded before the deadline to enable the Board to compile the actual list of Intending Pilgrims for the exercise this year and to remit all funds to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Lawal stated that the Board has initiated negotiations with service providers in Saudi Arabia for the provision of Feeding and a befitting accommodation in Makkah during this year’s Hajj.

He noted that the negotiation is inline with the desire of the Board to render the best services to FCT contingent to this year’s hajj in accordance with the New Hope Agenda of the present Administration.
