NTT DATA CEO Calls for Global AI Regulation Standards

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Abhijit Dubey, the CEO of NTT DATA, called for the establishment of global standards for artificial intelligence (AI) regulation to address the growing risks and challenges posed by the technology.

Speaking during the event, Dubey emphasised the importance of a unified approach in areas such as intellectual property protection, energy efficiency, and combatting piracy and deepfakes, all of which could benefit from consistent global guidelines.

While acknowledging the rapid advancements in AI technology, Dubey pointed out that the biggest hurdle companies face today is not the technology itself, but ensuring their workforce is adequately prepared to embrace AI. He stressed the need for businesses to focus on building the right data architecture and providing their employees with the skills and training necessary to adapt to AI-driven changes.
