VP Shettima Presides Over Triple Wedding Ceremony in Kebbi State

The Vice President of Nigeria Senator Kashim Shettima presided over the solemnization of three marriages, bringing together dignitaries from across the country in a grand ceremony held at the historic Abdullahi Fodiyo Palace in Birnin Kebbi State North West Nigeria.
As the Special Guest of Honour, Senator Shettima played a key role in the ceremony, standing in as the Waliy (Guardian) for Sadiyya Bello Ka’oje, daughter of Member of the House of Representatives, Bello Ka’oje.
He gave his blessings for her marriage to Zaharadeen Faruq Bala, following the payment of N300,000 as dowry.
The Vice President also witnessed the union of Yusra Bala Bawa and Hussaini Adamu Hussaini, with Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State serving as the Wakil (representative) for the groom.
The dowry for this marriage was also N300,000.
In his remarks, Senator Shettima prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the newlyweds, wishing them good health, prosperity, and happiness, as well as peace and security for the nation.
Other dignitaries in attendance included Kebbi State Governor, Doctor Nasir Idris; Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State; Ministers; Senators; and Members of the House of Representatives.
The ceremony was also graced by the Emir of Gwandu, Major General (RTD) Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, who gave his royal blessings to the newlyweds.
