Leave Lasting Legacies – NYSC DG urges Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Director General, Brigadier General Yushua Ahmed,  has urged Corps Members to leave lasting legacies through various community development projects that would improve the standards of living of residents in their respective host communities.

He stated during the orientation of the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream Two Corps Members at the Kebbi State Orientation Camp in Dakingari, Suru Local Government Area of the State

According to him, the Community Development Service, being one of the four cardinal programmes of the Scheme, is designed to enable Corps Members to execute personal or group projects that will add value to their host communities during their service year.

General Ahmed stressed that indecent dressing would not be tolerated from any Corps Member, and the approved NYSC dress code must be strictly adhered to.

He warned Corps Members against boarding vehicles from unauthorized motor parks, urging them to patronize only approved motor parks. Additionally, they must obtain permission from the NYSC before embarking on any journey.

The NYSC Kebbi State Coordinator, Bala Kagarko, for his part, said all camp activities were proceeding smoothly, with Corps Members demonstrating a high level of discipline, commitment, and perseverance.

A total of 1,300 Corps Members were registered, comprising 771 males and 529 females.
