The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has begun a five-day training on Early warning Response for its personnel in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The NSCDC Commandant, Ahmed Abubakar Audi explained that the five days operational management training would boost their strategic action plans in conflict resolution and combating other security challenges in the country stating the need for collaboration by security agencies in conflict resolution and the fight to combat crime and criminalities in the country.
“Synergy stands as a great weapon used by security agencies to perform better as no one security agency can do it alone in the fight against crime and conflict resolution, we need each others collaboration
“I am proud to say that for our personnel not living in the Barracks is an added advantage for us because we are mixing up with the public which has helped us in intelligence gathering and other operational strategies that have assisted us in the discharge of our duties creditably and l commend the organizers of the training, Search for Commom Ground, for their initiative to impact knowledge on the personnel of the Service on early response to conflict resolution. “He said.
The Programme Director of Search for Common Ground, Gift Owonipa remarked that the organisation has packaged intensive five- day training that will advance the personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC to perform excellently in conflict resolution and other security challenges in the country.
The Commandant called on Nigerians to exercise patience with President Ahmed Tinubu,s economic policy which is geared towards improving the socio economic livelihood of the people.
He remarked that President Tinubu as a true democrat is gradually exploiting the enormous natural resources in the country to revamp the country’s economy
“The president is a man of his word who knows where to get things right for his people but requires understanding and support of Nigerians.” He said.
While commending the president for his support to the corps which has assisted in repositioning the Corps to achieve its mandate, Audi said that training is a vital tool for improvement and result-oriented in any organisation.
He said that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC is an agency that has obtained training from other security agencies including the military in different fields of operational strategies and discipline that have created opportunities for them to perform excellently in carrying out their mandate.
