Promotion Exams: Nigerian Army Urges LCPPE Candidates to Stay Focused

The Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Nigerian Army, Major General Kevin Aligbe, has charged candidates participating in the 2025 Lieutenant to Captain Practical Promotion Examination (LCPPE) to remain focused, disciplined, and determined throughout the examination process.

Speaking to the 208 candidates at the Maj Gen Joseph Nanven Garba Hall, Post Graduate School of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna, Major General Aligbe emphasised the importance of laying a solid foundation for their career progression.

The TRADOC Commander in a statement by his spokesperson, Lt Col Sani Uba, reiterated the Nigerian Army’s zero-tolerance policy towards malpractice in examinations.

The Lieutenant to Captains examination aims to improve knowledge of the military profession, assist in career planning, test physical fitness, stimulate healthy competition, and assess command ability.

Major General Aligbe assured the candidates that the panellists would conduct a thorough and meticulous assessment of their performance. He also urged them to be security conscious while in Kaduna.

The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Mayirenso Saraso, and representatives from Army Headquarters and the Nigerian Army Heritage Centre.
