The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, during the RMNCAH+N scorecard’s presentation, said the development was to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs).

Ajetumobi added that it would also enable government to assess progress in the state’s healthcare sector.

“The release of the scorecard provides a vital platform for measuring performance, identifying gaps and strengthening service delivery across the state,” she said.

The Commissioner said the state government, through the ministry, “remains committed to evidence-based policymaking, strategic healthcare interventions and improving RMNCAH+N indices to ensure quality healthcare for all residents”.

She added that insights from the report would enable the government and stakeholders to develop targeted interventions aimed at improving health outcomes in the state.

The ministry’s Director, Health Planning, Research and Statistics, Dr Abbas Gbolahan, explained that the KPIs and targets used in the report were carefully selected.

Gbolahan emphasised that the agreed-upon indicators were realistic, data-driven and globally accepted to ensure the credibility of the findings.

The relevant stakeholders in the health sector and representatives of international health organisations attended the event.
