FUDMA VC Urges New Students To Uphold Academic Excellence
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA), Prof. Armaya’u Hamisu-Bichi has congratulated newly admitted students and urged them to uphold academic excellence and integrity.
Speaking at the university’s 6th matriculation ceremony in Dutsinma on Tuesday, Professor Hamisu-Bichi said that the College of Professional and continuing Studies received 4,860 applications for the 2024/2025 academic session, out of which 4,000 students were admitted and accepted their offers.
He reassured the students of the university’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment while warning against cultism, drug abuse, and examination misconduct.
The vice-chancellor further said that “the college offers 24 Diploma programmes, seven Top-Up Degree programmes, and 16 Postgraduate programmes.”
He added that a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Health Education had attracted students from across Nigeria and that 19 study centres had been established in Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to enhance access to education.
