Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has commissioned the upgraded pharma-grade warehouse designed to protect pharmaceutical products in the state.
During the commissioning in Kaduna, the Governor, who was accompanied by his Deputy, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, along with other senior government officials said the project adheres to the mandate of the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH).
According to him, the upgraded pharma-grade warehouse is designed to protect pharmaceutical products which aligns with his administration’s agenda to make healthcare accessible to all residents of Kaduna.

He disclosed that, “The upgraded warehouse features a storage area of 1,600 square meters, equipped with quality control, chemistry, and microbiology laboratories, two cold rooms, and 13 administrative offices.
“The warehouse is a symbol of his dedication to ensuring the continuous availability, efficient storage, and distribution of essential health commodities, by strengthening supply chain and ensuring that life-saving medications and supplies reach every corner of the state.”

He further stated that the new pharma grade warehouse will lead to enhanced healthcare delivery, which will ultimately improve the health and well-being of the citizens.
The Governor disclosed that Kaduna State is one of the first states to pay the 15% counterpart funding for the warehouse upgrade, promising to renovate and upgrade identified warehouses in Zones one and three to Pharma- Grade standard.
“Upgrading the zonal warehouses will further improve accessibility of quality drugs to the good people of Kaduna state.”

He expressed gratitude to development partners like the Global Fund and UNICEF, as well as Fidson Healthcare and Emzor Group for their support.
“While Fidson Healthcare played a key role in organizing the storage system in the warehouse, Emzor Group provided insurance coverage for the facility. Their contributions have enabled the State Health Supplies Management Agency to mature and reach the ready to integrate.’’
