The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has presented Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State in northeast Nigeria with the Award of Excellence for his outstanding business support and development contributions.
The President of ACCI, Dr. Emeka Obegolu, conferred the award during the Chamber’s 2025 Annual Retreat, held in Adamawa State.
Dr Emeka noted that the award was in recognition of his exceptional commitment to fostering business growth and economic development in Adamawa State.
Adamawa State also received the “Biggest Pavilion Award” for its outstanding participation in the 19th Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF), held between September and October 2024.
Speaking at the presentation, Chief Obegolu commended Governor Fintiri’s visionary leadership, highlighting key initiatives such as the establishment of the Huba kingdom and six other new emirates and chiefdoms across the state while emphasising that these efforts have significantly contributed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
“Governor Fintiri’s dedication to economic progress is truly commendable. His leadership continues to pave the way for increased investment, trade, and business development,” Chief Obegolu stated.
Dr Obegolu also led his delegation to Hong Town in the Hong Local Government Area, where Governor Fintiri officially presented the Staff of Office to His Royal Majesty, Alheri Bulus Nyako, marking his installation as the first Tol Hoba and ruler of Hong Local Government.
The ACCI boss congratulated the newly crowned ruler and presented him with an ACCI plaque, symbolising his recognition as part of Nigeria’s foremost Chamber of Commerce.
