Vice President Kashim Shettima is presiding over a meeting of Nigeria’s Economic Council.
The meeting, which started at 15:34 GMT, is taking place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Those attending the meeting include Ministers of Finance, Wale Edun, Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu and Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari.
Others are Governors of Bauchi, Bala Mohammed; Ogun, Dapo Abiodun; Kwara, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq; Jigawa, Umar Namadi, and Abia, Alex Oti, among others.
The Council statutorily meets every month to review the economy’s performance and consider measures to boost it.

The council also plays the role of advising the President on how to make life better for citizens.
