President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to the Renewed Hope Manifesto of the All Progressives Congress APC, expressing confidence in the party’s leadership to guide Nigeria’s future, build the nation, and significantly contribute to Africa’s growth.
The President emphasised that the strategic repositioning of the ruling party requires his administration’s ability to build on recorded successes and project a forward thinking agenda that resonate with the hopes and aspiration of Nigerians.
President Tinubu stated these on Tuesday while addressing the APC Caucus members at the Conference Center of the State House, Abuja.
The Nigerian Leader asserted that his administration remains intensely focused on its goals.
“We can steer we the future of this country and make a difference I like what is happening around the world if anything it is teaching a lesson that we particularly Nigerians are the great African country can build ourselves and help Africa to grow.
The President underscored the importance of achieving food sovereignty and not just food security to better reposition the country as the nation with the capacity to reposition the continent.
“For me there is a very sunny part of Nigeria that I am seeing right now and I am very happy that one of the most challenged Individual in terms of security AbdulAziz Yari has given a testimony
“It talks so much for many of us ,but to give testimony that the security of life and property is getting better from Zamfara ,i could see people from Birni Gwari on Tv doing their farming and getting the rewards
“I am a very happy man, the sunny side of this country is on the horizon things are getting better,the days of the glooms are gone, we are looking at the brighter and the sunny side of our country and our people.
“You know you are from communities many of them and are free and people are trading safely they are farming, food sovereignty is what we must achieve not just food security food security, sovereignty.”
He reassured the party members of the Tinubu-led administration’s resolve to deliver despite all misleading, baseless, and pessimistic assertions made by the critics.
President Tinubu noted the challenges confronting some of the policies introduced by his administration, while acknowledging that such policy such as fuel subsidy removal would have wrecked the country and denied the citizens the opportunities of benefiting from the well intended government interventions, if the administration had failed to take such decision.
“The multi sector approach ,multi tasking approach to delivery of goods and services, the challenge that we are facing in this country I am.just glad that you endure you understand and you have resolved to remain with our parties.
“Our determination to deliver is unshaking despite the cacophony of misguided unfounded and gloomy claims on the stage of the nation made by our detractors. They will continue to do it but we are extremely focused.
“It is a daunting challenge, the policies are difficult there is no way Nigeria would have survived the country of oil subsidy there’s no way today I can bit my chest and each of the governor is here that their allocations to the States tripled we have enough funding for the local government.”
The President appealed to the APC Caucus members to further bear with his administration
“Our strategic repositioning requires us to build on our success and project a forward looking agenda that resonate with the hopes and aspiration of Nigerians.
“I am here promising that we are doing that, I have a commitment to our manifesto, doing that I have a commitment to our manifesto progressive ideas and the believe.”
President Tinubu further appealed to the caucus to be more patient if at all expectations were yet to be met.
He emphasised that taking over from a previous administration, especially one he was involved with, requires careful handling to avoid disrupting stability, and to ensure gradual steps of progress.
“The caucus should just please bear with me if I have not meet all the expectation it is not easy when you are taking over from a previous administration that is anchored by you and you dont scatter the stable just move on gradually.
“It is not just easy to carry you step by step of governance,people thought we will fail but you stayed the course but you have supported the party and you are supporting your country and thank you very much I appreciate all of you.
The All Progressives Congress party leader, president Tinubu appreciated the National Party Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje said successes recorded in various elections have earned him applausive accolades.
“I better right now thank the chairman of our party, Thank you Mr Chairman ,you have earned accolades from.variois elections
“You are our pride, we have a hardworking individual that have led the party so well the members of working committee,” President Tinubu stated.
Senator Representing Zamfara West & Chairman Senate Committee on Water Resources, Former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, has testified during the APC Caucus meeting that security situation has significantly improved in Zamfara State.
In attendance are the leadership of the National Assembly led by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
Also in attendance are the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, as well as the former Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade.
Others are the members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, led by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun; the Governor of Borno State, Professor Babagana Zulum; the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani; the Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto; and the Governor of Benue State, Revd. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, among other serving governors.
Also present were South-south leaders of the ruling party led by Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timiprey Silva.
Notable leaders of the party from northern Nigeria present at the meeting included the former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdulaziz Yari; the former Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al Makura, the former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wammako; Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Bago; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu amongst others.
Also in attendance were the founding National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande; Chief Iyiola Omisore; Chief Olusegun Osoba; Senator Lola Ashiru; and a few others from the South-West.
Senator Tahir Monguno, Senator Lola Ashiru and other hierarchy members of the party were also in attendance.

The National APC Caucus meeting
The National APC Caucus meeting is a high-level strategic gathering of the party’s top leadership, including the President, Vice President, National Chairman, members of the National Working Committee, state governors under the party, and key stakeholders such as former governors, ministers, and principal officers of the National Assembly.
It is a crucial forum for discussing the party’s internal affairs, policy direction, and pressing national issues ahead of the National Economic Council meeting scheduled to hold on Wednesday February 26th, 2025.
It provides opportunities for the party leadership to align on political considerations before they are deliberated at the NEC, which includes all state governors and other key economic decision-makers.
