African Centre for Good Governance Recognizes Human Rights Lawyer Ejiofor

The African Centre for Good Governance and Human Development has honored Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, a distinguished Human Rights Lawyer and Chief Counsel/Principal Partner of I.C. Ejiofor & Co. (UgoChinyere Chambers), with the prestigious Outstanding Performance Award. This award recognizes his exceptional contributions to promoting good governance and humanitarian development.

At the award ceremony held at UgoChinyere Chambers in Lagos, Mujaheed Sabitu Kode, Country Coordinator of the African Centre for Good Governance and Human Development, lauded Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor for his steadfast dedication to human rights advocacy and his significant contributions to society. He specifically highlighted Sir Ejiofor’s positive impact on Nigerian students, his relentless pursuit of justice, and his efforts to empower youth. Kode encouraged fellow lawyers to emulate his commitment to justice, equity, and societal progress.
In his acceptance speech, Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, renowned as the lead counsel for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), expressed heartfelt gratitude for the honor.
“It is a humbling experience to be recognized for work that I believe is not merely a duty but a lifelong calling to stand for justice, advocate for the oppressed, and contribute to a society where fairness prevails,” he stated.
He extended heartfelt appreciation to his colleagues at I.C. Ejiofor & Co. (UgoChinyere Chambers), acknowledging their unwavering support and teamwork that enhance their collective impact. “The work we do, whether in the courtroom, in advocacy, shaping policies, or offering pro bono services, requires the commitment of many hands and minds.
