The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has initiated a capacity-building programme aimed at strengthening strategic planning, budgeting, and funding for ICT projects across federal institutions.

This initiative seeks to equip public servants with the necessary skills to drive digital transformation and improve governance for effective service delivery.

The programme includes expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and practical case studies designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and global best practices in ICT budgeting, financing, and planning.

By fostering a collaborative approach, NITDA aims to ensure better coordination and execution of digital projects within the public sector in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking on behalf of the Director-General, the Director of IT Infrastructure Solutions, Oladejo Olawunmi, highlighted the need for a unified government strategy in ICT project execution. He noted that while technology itself does not fail, challenges such as inadequate planning, poor funding, and lack of coordination often lead to inefficiencies. He emphasised the importance of aligning digital initiatives with national priorities to ensure value for money and improved public service delivery.
