A new Political Party, Team New Nigeria TNN has unveiled it’s Symbols reflecting Nigeria’s Unity in Kano state North West Nigeria.
The TNN is bearing a “Green – White -red flags with an image of hands held together in the center.
The Party has also Inaugurated state harmonisation Committee at the ceremony.
Unveiling the Party’s Symbols, the President Team New Nigeria TNN Modibbo Yakubu Farakwai said the gathering is a reaffirmation of the party’s willingness to re-ignite the dreams of Nigeria’s founding fathers led by Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Ahmadu Bello Chief Obafemi Awolowo among others who built a great nation.
He noted that TNN as a party is committed in it’s mission for greater Nigeria by uniting and rebuilding the country by ensuring the involvement of Nigerians in positive transformation of the Country.
“Farakwai explained that,TNN is dedicated to the promotion and advancement of human rights ensure setting up a government based on the principles of freedom and good governance.
“Also, within the context of the broad principles and concerns of Nigerians, transforming Nigeria into a just, modern and prosperous nation; a country united in pursuit of happiness and in which every citizen has an equal and fair chance to be their best.”
Participatory democracy
Highlighting the objectives of the Party, TNN President said, the party will Promote participatory democracy and responsible government in Nigeria, attain political power through democratic and constitutional means for the creation of conditions that would be conducive for national development.
“Ensure the attainment of equality and fraternity of each man and woman under the law without regard to ethnicity, race, religious belief, ideology, culture, social or economic status. Secure the right of each member of society to participate in decision-making in an open and democratic manner but defer to the majority interest without the sacrifice of minority rights.”
Farakwai said TNN is determined to ensure the establishment of the rule of law and the right of each citizen in Nigeria to pursue their affairs without unlawful interference and the right of each person to easy access and equal recourse to the court.
Position of privilege
Also speaking, Professor Garba Waziri while speaking on the inaugurated Committee remind them that it was not a position of privilege but a call to service.
“Your duty is to lead with integrity, to promote peace and unity, and to uphold the true principles of good governance, fairness, and the common good.”
He urged them to prepare for greater party mobilisation across Nigeria for victory come 2027 general elections.
Many party supporters spoke at the event calling on Nigerians to embrace Team New Nigeria TNN.
