The Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has cautioned politicians against exploiting security challenges for political gain, saying such actions endanger innocent lives.
He vowed to take decisive action against those fueling insecurity for personal or political interests.
The Governor’s remarks came at the Council Chambers of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, where he received 58 kidnapped victims rescued by security forces and handed over to the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu.
Governor Sani stressed that “those benefiting from insecurity would not be pleased with the rescue operation, as they thrive on chaos.”
Governor Sani reaffirmed his commitment to protecting lives and property, highlighting the success of the Kaduna Peace Model, a non-kinetic approach that has restored peace to previously volatile areas like Birnin Gwari and Giwa.
He assured residents of Kauru, Kajuru, and parts of Kachia in tye state that security forces are actively addressing lingering threats, promising “they would soon enjoy safety and stability.”
The Governor criticised political elites using social media to spread misinformation about security efforts, emphasising that genuine opposition should not come at the cost of public safety.
Governor Sani also announced financial support for the rescued victims to help them rebuild their lives, expressing gratitude to the National Security Adviser for facilitating their release.
