LG chairman inaugurates renovation of health centre in Omu-Aran

The Chairman of Irepodun Local Government of Kwara, Mr Abdulazeez Yakubu, on Wednesday inaugurated the renovation of a Health Centre at Ofe Aran in Omu-Aran.

Yakubu, while speaking at the occasion, said the project which is in Omu-Aran Ward III was an initiative that was part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery.

“It is also part of efforts at improving working conditions for medical personnel within the local government,” he said.

The chairman, while on a visit to the site, met with the contractors and gave them a clear mandate to deliver a high-quality project which would meet the required standards.

He said the importance of the facility was to provide accessible healthcare services to residents, urging the contractors to ensure durability and efficiency in their work.

“The renovation and construction of Ofe Aran Health Centre will provide better accommodation for healthcare workers, ensuring that they are readily available to attend to patients, especially during emergencies.

“This administration prioritises healthcare development, recognising its crucial role in community well-being and sustainable development,” he said.
