The Kebbi State Government has taken steps to strengthen security following a recent attack by suspected terrorists on Birnin Dede village in Kebbi State, Northwest Nigeria.

The attack claimed 13 lives and led to the destruction of seven villages.

The attack is believed to be a retaliatory measure following the killing of their leader, Mai-Gemu, by a combined security force in the state.

The Kebbi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris has been working tirelessly to curb the activities of armed groups in the state.

The government’s efforts have been yielding positive results, with the recent killing of the group’s kingpin being a significant milestone.

Despite the recent setback, the government remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.

The Chairman of Arewa Local Government, Sani Aliyu, confirmed the attack and assured the people that the government is taking necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

The Kebbi State Police Command is also working to gather more information on the incident, and the government is urging “citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.”

In a broader context, the Kebbi State Government has been making strides in promoting peace and security in the region.

The government’s efforts to empower women and promote gender equality are also noteworthy, with the state aiming to achieve 35% affirmative action for women in public offices.

Voice of Nigeria reports that while the recent attack is a setback, the Kebbi State Government’s commitment to security, peace, and development remains unwavering.
