Nigeria Unveil Import Clearance System To Boost Trade Facilitation

The Nigerian Government is set to unveil a more robust and efficient system to improve import clearance regime of towards full integration with the National Single Window Project.
Director General, National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, NESREA, Dr. Innocent Barikor said this when he received in audience the Project Manager of the National Single Window Project, Dr. Tola Fakolade and his team at the headquarters of NESREA, in Abuja the nation’s capital.
Dr Barikor said the Agency has scaled up its system to a dynamic model that would enhance the productivity of the Agency as well as interface with other relevant systems such as the National Single Window Project and the B’Odogwu platform of the Nigerian Customs Service.
He commended the efforts by Dr. Fakolade and his team towards promoting unified platform for trade facilitation, while restating NESREA’s support for the process.
In his remarks Dr. Fakolade said the visit was part of engagements towards the onboarding of the Agency into the Single Windows Platform.
