Google to Replace Assistant with Advanced AI Platform ‘Gemini’

Google has announced plans to phase out Google Assistant and replace it with Gemini, its advanced artificial intelligence (AI) platform, in a major upgrade set to roll out later this year.

This transition is part of Google’s broader strategy to enhance user experiences with more powerful AI-driven capabilities across multiple devices.

Gemini to Become the Default Assistant

Gemini, introduced in late 2023, is designed to offer more advanced natural language understanding, better contextual awareness, and improved responsiveness compared to Google Assistant. The AI assistant will soon be integrated across various Google products, including smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and other connected devices.

Additionally, Google is working on extending Gemini’s capabilities to smart home devices, including smart speakers, displays, and TVs. The company is also developing a Gemini-powered AI experience for in-car systems, further expanding its reach.
