The reason for the meeting is yet to be made known to journalists.

However, after an hour into the meeting, as at the time of filing in this report, the leadership of the National Assembly were still attending the meeting with the President.

The nation recorded an explosion from a section of the Trans Niger Pipeline in Bodo Community in Gonna Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The explosion occurred late on Monday night near the Bodo-Bonny Road under construction.

Voice of Nigeria reports that the President’s meeting with the security chiefs might not be unconnected to this development.
