Samsung Unveils the Latest Galaxy A Series

Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its newest Galaxy A series smartphones, which include the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G. These devices introduce innovative technology to Samsung’s mid-range portfolio.

Pioneering AI with “Awesome Intelligence”

At the Lagos launch event, Samsung highlighted its mission to make artificial intelligence (AI) accessible to all.

The company introduced “Awesome Intelligence,” an advanced mobile AI suite unique to the Galaxy A series.

In addition to this, the new smartphones offer enhanced durability, improved security, and cutting-edge camera features, setting new benchmarks in reliability and creativity.

CEO Tae Sun Lee Speaks on Accessibility

Speaking at the event, Tae Sun Lee, CEO of Samsung Electronics West Africa, said, “The new Galaxy A series marks an important step in our mission of AI for all, by opening Galaxy’s incredible mobile AI experiences to even more people around the world.

“With these awesome new features and capabilities, we are excited to unlock limitless creativity while ensuring a safe, reliable, and fun mobile experience.”

Innovative Features Powered by One UI 7

The new Galaxy A series is equipped with One UI 7, offering a range of AI-driven tools for greater functionality and creativity. One standout tool is “Circle to Search,” co-developed with Google, which enables users to instantly identify contact details, URLs, and even songs directly from their screen.

Oge Maduagwu, Head of Marketing at Samsung Electronics West Africa, explained, “With a long press of the navigation bar and a tap, users can identify songs playing on social media or nearby speakers without switching apps, making discovery seamless and intuitive.”

Enhanced Camera Systems for Unmatched Photography

• The Galaxy A series elevates smartphone photography with remarkable features:
• All three models include a 50MP main lens.
• Both the A56 5G and A36 5G support 10-bit HDR front lens recording for vibrant selfies.
• The A56 5G includes a 12MP ultra-wide lens and introduces “Best Face,” an AI-powered tool that enhances group photos by selecting the best expressions from up to five people captured in motion photos.
• Nightography capabilities have also been upgraded.

The A56 5G’s 12MP selfie camera includes Low Noise Mode, ensuring superior low-light performance.

Refined Editing Tools

Stephen Okwara, Head of Product Management, MX Division, highlighted the “Object Eraser,” a refined feature across the series that allows users to seamlessly remove unwanted elements from their images.
