Group gifts mobility aids,relief materials to the less privileged

A Charitable Organization, Fada Pita Charity Tennis Tournament(FPCT) has presented sets of mobility aids and some relief items to five  selected Homes for the less privileged in Anambra State.
The five benefitting Homes include Rehabilitation Centre for the disabled,Old and Tramps(RECDOT),Ozubulu,Amichi Leprosy Centre,Okija Leprosy Centre,DCC Nnewi Centre for Deaf and Dumb and Crowther Community  Children Home,Onitsha.
Presenting the items which include wheel chairs,clutches,bags of rice,toiletries,provisions and cash  to the benefitting Homes at Nnewi,
the Founder of the Organization, Rev Fr Peter Muojekwu,said the gesture was in line with its philosophy of using sports and alms giving to promote evangelism.
He said that the body decided to raise funds through annual  sponsorship of Table Tennis tournament to touch the lives of the physically challenged and needy.
The Cleric further described the 19th edition of the tournament as unique featuring free medical checks by medical professionals,award presentations and recognition of those who had been helping with support services to the beneficiaries.
“I want to thank all our members for their supports  in providing for the needy especially the physically disabled and the motherless babies.I encourage them to continue with their generosity,” he stated.
He said they didn’t give because they have surplus, but rather give because it is their mission.
Every giver knows the joy that comes from giving. The surest way to receive is by giving unconditionally ,” Rev fr Muojekwu said.
Responding on behalf of the benefitting Homes, the Director, Rehabilitation Centre for the disabled, Old and Tramps,Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Council Area,Dame Rosemary Odunukwe,praised the organization for touching the lives of the less privileged.
She then prayed God to continue to strenghten and provide for its members to render more service to God and humanity, asking other organizations to emulate its kind gesture.
