The Sani Bello Foundation has successfully implemented its 2025/2026 Scholarship and Academic Support Programme, providing financial and academic assistance to more than 400 students in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
In a statement issued by the Director General of the Foundation, Dr. Zakari Ikani, the programme was described as part of the Foundation’s continued commitment to promoting access to quality education and supporting young people in achieving their academic goals.

Dr. Ikani said the beneficiaries were selected from various higher institutions, including the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Federal University of Technology Minna, Federal University Birnin Kebbi, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Federal University of Education Kontagora, and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, among others.
According to him, the scholarship scheme is aimed at reducing the financial challenges faced by students, encouraging academic excellence, and ensuring that deserving young Nigerians can pursue their education without unnecessary hardship.
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Ikani reiterated that education remains one of the most effective tools for personal growth, community development, and national progress. He noted that the foundation’s investment in education reflects its belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.
He explained that since its establishment, the foundation has consistently supported educational development through scholarships, academic support programmes, school infrastructure projects, and the provision of learning materials. These interventions, he said, have helped create opportunities for many young people across the country.
The Director General further stated that the foundation remains committed to helping students acquire knowledge and develop into responsible leaders, skilled professionals, and productive members of society.
Dr. Ikani congratulated all beneficiaries of the 2025/2026 Scholarship and Academic Support Programme and urged them to remain focused, disciplined, and dedicated to excellence in their studies. He encouraged them to make good use of the opportunity and contribute positively to their communities and the nation.
