Singer, songwriter Adele has revealed that she is set to release her fourth album titled ‘30’. This is going to be her first album after five years.

The 33-year old pop star who appeared on the cover of both the British and American editions of Vogue disclosed her son was the inspiration for the new album.

“I wanted to explain to him through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness,” the star told Vogue.

“It made him really unhappy sometimes and that’s a real wound for me that I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to heal,” she added.

Adele says her new album was recorded to help her nine-year-old son understand why she and his father got divorced.

Despite previous reports that the often-secretive singer had married Simon Konecki in 2016, she told the magazine they did not tie the knot until 2018.

The English singer on Tuesday released a short snippet of her forthcoming single, titled ‘Easy On Me’, which will be released in full on Friday, 15 October.

“It was the first song I wrote for the album and then I didn’t write anything else for six months after because I was like, ‘OK, well, I’ve said it all.” She said.

As she worked on the rest of the album, the music became a method of explaining things to their son Angelo when he’s older, she also added.

Adele and Simon Konecki were together for several years before they married in 2018 and she filed for divorce in 2019.

The singer told the US magazine: “If I can reach the reason why I left, which was the pursuit of my own happiness, even though it made Angelo really unhappy – if I can find that happiness and he sees me in that happiness, then maybe I’ll be able to forgive myself for it.”

In the interviews, the pop superstar also addressed her weight loss, after the Instagram photos of her slim figure was trending on social media.
