Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has insisted that the Former Governor of the Central Bank, Prof Chukwuma Soludo remain ned the best candidate among those contesting to govern the state.
He reasoned that if it were in a civilized nation, nobody would vie to challenge him in any elective position given his intimidating pedigree.
The Governor who was fielding questions from newsmen in Awka, shortly after a scheduled inspection tour of some projects executed by the state government, asked the electorate to critically consider the track records of the candidates contesting the gubernatorial poll.
He added that the All-Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate possessed the needed qualifications, skill and experience more than others to continue the ongoing infrastructural revolution in the state.
Governor Obiano who listed International Airport at Umueri, International Conference Center and Anambra Stadium Complex Awka as some of his signature projects, called on the people to vote wisely for more democratic dividends.
He explained that his administration had spent N90billion on the Airport project within 15 months record time without seeking bailout funds or loans for facilities from any institution.

According to him, the government will commission the Airport on 21st October 2021 if the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCCA) gives its approval.
“Also, the International Conference Centre with 10,000 seating capacity, the biggest in South East will be completed. I want to assure you that I will hand it over to my successor in this Convention Center on 17th March 2022,” Governor Obiano said.
